go-round...Rebound...RENEW!  That is the title of my solo show at The Bridge Gallery, September 2016.

go-round represents the repetition of challenges I experienced where I was subjected to three car accidents in a 17 month period.  The whiplash sustained in the accidents caused severe neck, back and hip injuries as well as headache and cognitive processing issues.

Rebound represents my perseverance and mindset it took to move beyond these challenges and begin crafting a new path.  Learning to  deal with city driving without panic attacks, finding coping methods for new light and sound sensitivity, dealing with the constant pins and needles in my hands, etc.

RENEW represents forging a new creative path that centers on my appreciation for health and wellness, increased self-care and finding joy when life is heavy.

This solo show features mainly fused kiln-formed work, including, coral webs, and dishes.  It is an amped up appreciation of my fusing and kiln-forming basics that inspired my initial love for glass.  I haven't foregone hot glass, just the opposite.  I feel like I am still re-learning my hot glass basics and all my big ideas are just on the shelf for a little while.  They will be my future goals and ideas.  You will see them on the gallery walls in upcoming shows.
